Your privacy matters. Pitch Side collects the minimum information needed to run the app. We never sell your data, and we never will.

What we collect

• Your email address and display name (for your account)
• Team, squad, session, formation, play, match day, payment request, and development data you create in the app
• Messages, reactions, polls, events, voice notes, and files you send in team areas
• Device notification tokens, subscription status, and operational security/error logs

How we store it

Core account and team data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Storage). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited by team membership and role: coaches and managers administer team data, while parents, players, club users, and guests receive narrower views appropriate to their role.

What we don't do

• We don't sell personal data
• We don't build advertising profiles
• We don't run third-party advertising or analytics scripts
• We don't show adverts

Device permissions

• Camera— used only when you choose to take a photo (e.g. player profile pictures). Photos are stored in your team's private data and are visible only to authorised roles under the team access rules.
• Push notifications — optional, used for team messages and match-day reminders. You can disable these at any time in your device settings.
• Internet access — required to sign in, load uncached pages, use server features, and sync with Firebase. Data already loaded on a device may remain available offline, and supported queued writes sync after connectivity is restored.

Children's privacy

Pitch Side is primarily administered by adult coaches, managers, and clubs, and may store information about youth players. A player account must only be created or used with the authorisation required by the club and the player's parent or guardian. Team administrators are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent before entering youth-player details or uploading a player photo. Role-based access limits what authorised team members can see.

Third-party services

• Google Firebase — authentication and data storage (Firebase Privacy Policy)
• Open-Meteo — weather data for session planning (no personal data is sent)
• Vercel — web hosting and server request processing
• Stripe — optional Pro subscription checkout and billing management
• SendGrid — transactional and reminder email delivery
• Sentry — application error reporting and service reliability diagnostics
• AI provider — when a Pro user explicitly generates a session, the selected provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) processes the session requirements and relevant drill catalogue supplied for that request
• The marketing site includes an embedded YouTube video. YouTube may set its own cookies when the video is loaded.

Deleting your data

You can export or request deletion of your account data from the Settings page. Team records that must remain for other authorised members are anonymised where appropriate; a team owned only by the deleting user is removed. If you need help, get in touch via our contact page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
