Built on the Sideline
Pitch Side came from the same place every grassroots idea does — a coach trying to keep a team organised. It has grown into an app for everyone around that team: the coaches, the parents on the touchline, and the players themselves.
If you coach grassroots football, you know how it goes. Session plans scribbled on the back of an envelope. Squad details scattered across WhatsApp, a spreadsheet, and your memory. Formation ideas sketched on a whiteboard that got wiped before you could save them.
Pitch Side was built to bring all of that into one place. Not because coaching needs to be complicated, but because having your stuff organised means you can spend less time flicking through notes and more time actually coaching.
The app has grown into a full team workspace — and not just for the coach. Parents confirm availability, sort lifts, follow their child's development journey, and see what's owed. Players get their own view of their progress. Coaches and managers run squad records, sessions, formations, animated tactical plays, match days, messages, analytics, season plans, and payment tracking — with backup, restore, and privacy controls underneath it all.
It's free to get started because grassroots football is voluntary. The people who turn up week after week — setting up cones in the rain, driving the minibus, washing the bibs — they do it for the love of the game. The core tools they use should be accessible.
What Matters to Us
Free to Get Started
Grassroots football runs on people who love it — the coaches, the parents, the kids. Getting started with Pitch Side costs nothing — no trial, no credit card.
Your Data Stays Yours
Player details, session plans, squad info, messages, and payments are stored securely in Firebase. We don't sell your data or use it for ads. Export or delete everything whenever you like.
Works Where You Coach
Phone in your pocket, tablet in your kit bag, or laptop at the kitchen table. Pitch Side is built for responsive browser use first, with native mobile builds supported through Capacitor.
Built for Patchy Signal
Firestore persistence keeps loaded team data available offline and queues supported writes locally, so poor pitch-side signal does not have to stop the session.
Works Where You Coach
Pitch Side works on your phone, tablet, or laptop — whatever you've got in your coat pocket or your kit bag. The browser app is the main starting point today, an Android app is in testing on Google Play ahead of its public release, and iOS support is built into the same codebase.
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase — encrypted, private, and protected by role-based access. We don't sell it, we don't use it for ads, and you can export or delete your account data whenever you like. The app uses operational error reporting and Firebase service events to keep the product working. See our privacy policy for full details.
