Google requires at least 12 people to remain opted into the closed test for 14 days before PitchSide can apply for a public production release.
Your place genuinely counts. We need real use and honest notes; there are no scripted reviews, ratings or marketing claims.
From volunteer to tester
Access is controlled by Google Play. Sending an email does not install anything or enrol you automatically.
- Send your Google Play email
Use the volunteer button and include the Google address signed in on your Android device. We only use it to grant test access and contact you about the test.
- Wait for your access confirmation
We add your address to the private tester list and reply when it is ready. The Play link will not work until your address has been approved.
- Join and install from Google Play
Open the official testing link with the approved Google account, choose Become a tester, then install PitchSide from Google Play.
- Stay opted in for 14 days
Use the app naturally across training or match-day planning, keep the test installed where practical, and send honest feedback if anything gets in your way.
Use it like a grassroots team would
Ten useful minutes beats an hour of random tapping. Use synthetic player details unless your club has the normal consent to use real data.
- Create or join a team and find your way around
- Plan a session and understand an animated drill or play
- Prepare a match day, lineup, substitutions, goals and assists
- Read or send a team message and check notifications
Your submitted address is used to grant test access and contact you about this test. It is not displayed publicly.
Google Play may collect and share testing diagnostics and usage information with PitchSide, as explained on Google's opt-in screen.
